FreeEraser

Type: Eraser
OS: Windows
Package: Installer (about 2 MB)

Free Eraser is an eraser tools from Coddyssey. It's a freeware and it's light (less than 3 MB for full program). You can download this program's installer from softonic or from its official site. If you download it from softonic, then you'll get an installer that will redirect you to download the full program from the official site. It's light, only about 2.86 KB. The softonic installer is just like a compressed pack of installer that need to be open to use, and it need an internet connection to do that. If you download it from the official site, then you'll get 1.94 MB installer. I suggest you to take from the official site, since softonic installer offers you to take their toolbar (you can choose to take that or not). If you not sure about it, then you have to choose from the official site.

FreeEraser has two options of installation mode: Standard and Portable. If yoant to keep this program in your portable media, choose the second option. But if you want to use it in your PC or laptop, use the Standard Option. Both of them is great.

So how to use this eraser? When you installing it, the program will create an icon your toolbar near volume icon. Just click on it and you'll see a transparent symbol just like in a picture in this article. Open your windows explorer and drag in an unwanted file to the symbol. You'll see a warning to delete it completely (with no chance to able to recover anymore) or to cancel it. If you want to delete it, just click the continue button, wait until the icon turn from red back to blue. And your file(s) have been deleted perfectly.

It's great it's so useful, easy to use an yet, it's free! The current version is version 1.0.0.23. Hopefully it will keep continue and become greater time after time. Please support them for the next version by donating it.

P. S.: I've tried to delete one document file (*.docx) using this program and recover it again using Recover Files program from UndeleteUnerase.com (trial version, portable type). The file is recovered, but its content is not recovered back. It's just a blank document.
